Joanne Hsian, the new owner of SpiritLand Bistro (230 E. Victoria St., 966-7759) says, “We want to create a spirited social atmosphere that uniquely encourages mingling and connection within the community while promoting a shared love of soul-nourishing food and wine.”

To accomplish just that, the restaurant is kicking off a new Wednesday Wine & Dine program on February 27 at 6:30 p.m. On the last Wednesday of each month, the restaurant will pair a gourmet organic four-course meal with a chosen wine theme, in this case Central Coast Syrah (from S.B. or S.L.O. County). Each person/couple brings a bottle of wine (no corkage fee) to share during the first 45 minutes, complemented by a cheese course. Additional bottles may be brought (again no corkage) or purchased (at 10 percent discount) to share with the table. An industry expert will also be on hand to make the evenings informative, too.
