A 3/28 meeting concerning the “Clinic on Wheels”a currently defunct traveling unit that helped provide health exams and insurance for children whose families could not otherwise afford itturned into a contentious back-and-forth, with community member Rick Feldman alleging the county has failed these children by not funding the program. Dr. Elliot Schulman, county public health director, responded that the county has chosen to support fixed-site clinics instead.
