And by the “Presidio,” I don’t mean the view across to reconstructed Spanish colonial days from this fine lunch spot on Canon Perdido Street (128 E. Canon Perdido St., 965-1015; and sadly not open on weekends). I mean the special hot pastrami sandwich, and special it is. Take brilliantly be-fatted brisket, cure it, smoke it, and you get this-layers of rich flavor laced with pepper and spice. Sitting upon the shop’s equally perfect rye, all caraway and crusty crunch, this meal only needs some of Three Pickles’ pickles to send you to deli delight.
