The dish: Woodstock Pizza is where the wild things do pizza. Daily beer specials and late-night hours might be enough to keep an I.V. restaurant in business, but fantastic pizza is what keeps Woodstock thriving. While the mood is 100 percent college, the signature red sauce is as good as it gets, thick and spicy and wrapped into the edges of the thick, freshly baked crust (handmade each day; veterans recommend the whole wheat). Sauce, cheese, and toppings are perfectly balanced and carefully arranged, reflecting the founders’ ideal that each bite includes a taste of every topping. Daily lunch specials include traditional slices like cheese or pepperoni, plus specials like the Fire Bird. Monday-Thursday beer specials are listed online, where you can also download a coupon for the weekly special.
