Following a 3/12 hydrogen sulfide gas leak at Greka Energy’s Bradley 3 Island facility near Orcutt, one barrel of crude oil and four of toxic produced water spilled at the same facility on 3/19 as the result of a corroded pipe. Greka employees called 911, and firefighters and hazmat workers responded by containing the leak and shutting down the broken equipment for repairs. The spill did not contaminate any nearby bodies of water.
