An unidentified Santa Barbara woman is recovering this week after being struck by a train along the Gaviota Coast on 7/20. According to authorities, the 27-year-old woman was standing near the tracks at a beach just south of Mariposa when she was clipped by a train shortly past 5 p.m. Admitted to Cottage Hospital, the victim had sustained major injuries that, according to authorities, did not appear to be life-threatening.
