Sometimes it seems as if Santa Barbara leads the nation in per capita “eat, drink, and be generous” events, and this weekend is no different, as Touring & Tasting teams up with Hospice of Santa Barbara, Inc. for the event Wine with a View on Sunday, November 15, from 4-6 p.m., at the Hotel Mar Monte (1111 E. Cabrillo Blvd.). Given Touring & Tasting is famed for its wine magazine and wine club, it seems the perfect co-host, especially as it will serve up numerous 90-plus point-rated wines and make them available for purchase at a discount, too.
The event will focus on wines that might do a Thanksgiving feast good. All proceeds benefit Hospice of Santa Barbara, a volunteer hospice organization whose mission is to provide care to anyone experiencing the impact of life-threatening illness or grieving the death of a loved one. All services are provided free of charge. Tickets to the fundraiser are $25 for pre-sale and $35 at the door. Call 563-8820.
