Food, art, fashion, Paris—the Contemporary Arts Forum is pulling out all the romantic stops for its annual Valentine’s Day (more or less) fundraiser this year. La Vie en Rose, to be held Saturday, February 6, at CAF (upstairs Paseo Nuevo) starting at 8 p.m., promises to be a night of amazement, starting with a buffet courtesy Omni Fresco, featuring fine cheeses, charcuterie, and antipasti, to be accompanied by the brilliant creations of Carpinteria’s own Chocolats du CaliBressan. Then there’s cocktails, and wine, some of which will also be featured in the silent auction, so you could go home with bottles from Arcadian Winery, Babcock, Heitz Cellar, or Melville. All that good food and drink will put you in the mood for the art, featuring a host of area luminaries, and the fashion, presented by Susan Pitcher’s dressed & ready, where capitalization is small but style is tall.
