Goleta resident Bonnie Sanabia was chosen by Assemblymember Pedro Nava as his district’s Woman of the Year for caring for her deaf, blind, and severely handicapped adult son. She cares for her son with the help of the In-Home Supportive Services program, which Nava pointed out is on the governor’s list of potential cuts. She was honored in Sacramento on 3/8.
