Bouncer With Samurai Sword Pummels Public Urinators

A man pummeled and pulled a samurai sword on two people urinating on the sidewalk near his house on the 100 block of De La Guerra Street, according to a police spokesperson this week. The 6/11 incident began when the man—who works as a bouncer—confronted the two, and one of them took out a knife. The man allegedly went to his house to get the sword, which police believe was not used in the incident, and at some point physically beat the two. Responding officers followed a blood trail at the scene to a man hiding in a nearby yard. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and the other man is reportedly still at large. Police believe the bouncer was acting in self-defense and will probably not be charged with a crime.
