Following an international search that yielded more than 100 candidates, the Center for the Performing Arts announced this week that Dr. Craig M. Springer has been named the Granada Theatre’s new executive director. Its former director, Peter Frisch, announced last December he would be leaving his post. Springer has worked for 29 years in the arts management and education field, and his career has included stints at Northwestern University, the University of Southern California, and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. He holds PhD, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in communications from Northwestern University School of Communication.
