Tuesday marked Santa Barbara County CEO Mike Brown’s last Board of Supervisors hearing, after 14 years of sitting through them. That, according to the county, was a total of 18,688 agenda items spread out over 584 meetings that took 3,764 hours to complete. “I am so blessed and fortunate to have had this career,” said Brown, whose last day is 10/31. Incoming CEO Chandra Wallar, from San Diego County, starts 11/1.
