After reading the exciting cover story, “In Search of the Cowabunga Nectar,” I believe Travers Adler and his friends are to be commended for all the gasoline they use running up and down the coast in search of the “nectar.” [11/18/10, independent.com/surfaddictsjournal.] Clearly, they’re committed environmentalists and are doing their part to end global warming. All of us can learn a lesson here and should try to imitate these sensible young people by using as much gas as possible. If we follow their lead, we can have global warming whipped in no time.
