Around 10 a.m. this morning, a number of surfers reported seeing a shark off the coast of Guadalupe Dunes Park. Personnel with the Santa Barbara County Parks Department immediately posted warning signs notifying park visitors of the reported sighting and to take appropriate precautions.

The sighting comes just a month after a UCSB student was fatally wounded by a great white shark at Surf Beach. Guadalupe Dunes Park remains open to visitors at this time.
