D’Sant Angelo Faces More Felonies

The Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office tacked on several felony charges to the allegations convicted nun scammer Denise D’Sant Angelo is facing. D’Sant Angelo, currently serving a two-year term for stealing money from the Sisters of Bethany, is set to go to trial on 1/18 on charges of theft from an elder, grand theft, 10 counts of theft, and a charge of unlawful practice of law. Authorities allege D’Sant Angelo said she was helping an elderly couple keep their home after they fell behind in mortgage payments, but they still lost the home and neither they nor the bank ever saw the money again. If convicted, D’Sant Angelo, will face 10 years and eight months in prison.
