As of press time, according to folks from the U.S. Geological Survey, there have been a series of four small earthquakes centered near San Miguel Island in the Santa Barbara Channel since 1/8, including three during the early morning hours of the 11th. The largest of the mild shakers registered a 3.5 on the Richter scale. No damage or injuries have been reported.
