Carp Expands Smoking Ban

The City of Carpinteria will be expanding its no smoking ordinance from public parks and beaches to outdoor areas available to the general public, the City Council voted Monday evening. The public areas include places like dining areas, sidewalks, public events, and entryways. Citing litter and harm from second-hand smoke, supporters included the Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Carpinteria Boys and Girls Club.
