The Santa Barbara Police Department has identified the man who jumped to his death from the County Courthouse clock tower yesterday. Danny Lee McLaughlin, 44, was distraught over unemployment, finances, and issues in his personal life, a family member told authorities. McLaughlin had given the family member no indication that he was thinking about taking his life.
