The double murder retrial of Corey Lyons—accused of shooting and killing his brother and brother’s life partner—continues to trudge along in Judge Brian Hill’s courtroom. The jury heard from an expert on gunshot residue on 4/18, who found a reasonable amount of residue particles on Lyons’s hands. Last week, the defendant’s wife took the stand and talked about her lack of knowledge of her husband’s gun collection and dispute between Lyons and his brother about the house he built for the couple, where he is alleged to have killed the two in May 2009 the morning the two sides were set to settle a lawsuit about its construction.
