Santa Barbara detectives, acting on information they received from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department in Florida, arrested 21-year-old Carlos Boquin in Santa Maria on June 8. Boquin had reportedly been hiding out in the area since January. His warrant, explained Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Drew Sugars, stemmed from a felony child molestation arrest in his hometown of Inverness, Florida, where he violated terms of his probation. Boquin is at County Jail on a no bail hold, awaiting extradition to Florida.
