Meth Trafficker Sentenced to More than 15 Years in Prison

David Jiminez of Carpinteria was sentenced to 188 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy charge. Alleged to be a member of the Carpas street gang, he joined two men associated with Ventura street gangs in pleading to similar charges. The three were arrested and indicted as part of Operation Peaceworks, a collaboration of state, federal, and local agencies working to prevent crime and change the behavior of criminals.
