The Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office sent a letter to Raymond O’Connor informing him that they had found no violation of the Brown Act — the state’s open meeting law — by the Santa Barbara City College Board of Trustees during their 6/8 closed-session discussion of outgoing SBCC President Andreea Serban.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Jerry Lulejian, after speaking with an attorney for the board, said in a letter he was “confident” no violation occurred. O’Connor is president of Take Back SBCC, which has initiated a recall effort against three of the trustees.
