Wendy McCaw’s luxury yacht, Calixe, was bashed to the tune of a half-million dollars when an Australian billionaire’s super-yacht smacked into it in Florida.

Aussie Solomon Lew’s 177-foot Maridome rammed McCaw’s 188-foot motor yacht, which was tied up at a Jacksonville shipyard on February 19, according to the Australian website WAtoday.com.au.

The Dutch-built Calixe sleeps 10 and carries a helicopter, WAtoday said. The entire length of the starboard side of the vessel was scraped, WAtoday said. The Maridome was released on bond pending settlement of the damages.

Lew’s lawyers blamed the crash on failure of a secondary set of controls.
