Law Enforcement Looks for Home Invasion Robbery Suspect

Incident Occurred Thursday Morning in Carpinteria

Santa Barbara law enforcement is on the lookout for a man who reportedly entered a home in the 2800 block of Via Real in Carpinteria and, after confronting its inhabitants, stole property and fled. The incident occurred at around 11:35 p.m. on July 19. No other details were released.

Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Sgt. Mark Williams said that while some deputies on Thursday immediately responded to the scene, other deputies assisted by CHP officers fanned out in surrounding streets. Two K9 units and a helicopter with the County Air Support Unit helped with the search.

The suspect was described as a white male with dark clothes, 5’9” to 5’10”, and 150 to 160 pounds. Anyone with information on the crime or the suspect is asked to call (805) 681-4150.
