Longoria Fe Ciega Pinot

Tue Jun 18, 2013 | 06:00am

Longoria 2009 Fe Ciega Vineyard Pinot Noir: Possessing both the deep, dark power that the Sta. Rita Hills has become known for but with a softer, delicate restraint perfect for food pairing and age-ability, it’s no wonder that Rick and Diana Longoria’s latest pinot noir was selected by Wine Enthusiast magazine as #10 on the Top 100 Cellar Selection Wines of 2012.

Coming from the pioneering winemaker’s Fe Ciega Vineyard, which clings to some of the westernmost cliffs out toward Lompoc, the 2009 release is yet another crowning achievement in three decades of Santa Barbara County work. Visit the tasting room in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto to get a bottle before it’s all gone.
