The combination of gusty northwest to north winds, low relative humidity, and very dry vegetation has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a red flag warning through Thursday that affects Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles county mountains, including the foothills of the Santa Ynez range. The urgent fire weather warning was issued at 6 a.m. on Wednesday by the Santa Barbara County’s Office of Emergency Management.
