Santa Barbara authorities are urging owners of 1990- and 2000-era Honda Civics and Accords to keep a close eye on their cars as four of those types of vehicles were stolen within a matter of hours late at night August 7 and early in morning August 8.
Two were reported stolen from Oceano Avenue and one from Santa Fe Place. A fourth was taken from Old Mill Road. “Owners of similar vehicles are being advised to garage their cars and to utilize anti-theft devices such as alarms and steering wheel locks, if possible,” said police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood in a statement. “Due to the ongoing nature of these investigations additional details are being withheld.”
