Drivers on De La Vina Street can no longer turn right onto Carrillo Street on a red light, the City of Santa Barbara announced Friday. Signs have been posted at that intersection — the city’s most dangerous for pedestrians, according officials — showing the change in rules. Since 2008, there have been 14 pedestrian-related accidents at that intersection, 10 of which involved people turning onto Carrillo during a red light and typically occurring when people were walking across Carrillo.
