Jackson’s Abortion Measure Signed Into Law

Governor Jerry Brown signed into law last week a measure that allows specially trained nurses, physicians’ assistants, and certified midwives to preform early aspiration abortions within the first trimester of a woman’s pregnancy.

Cloud Seeding On the Way

The county supervisors are literally trying to make it rain, as they approved the 2013-14 cloud-seeding program with hopes that Twitchell Reservoir in San Luis Obispo County and Lake Cachuma will collect some much-needed water.

Community Meetings on New Septic System Regulations

Santa Barbara County Environmental Health Services is developing a Local Agency Management Program (LAMP) that will regulate the installation, repair and maintenance of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (i.e. septic systems throughout the county).
