Santa Barbara staggered with heat on Saturday, as an informal survey of temperature gauges around town at 1 p.m. found the hottest location to be Hidden Valley off Modoc with 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Montecito’s RAWS (Remote Automatic Weather Station) located at 1,600 feet altitude and a personal weather station on the Westside both registered 100. By contrast, Solvang checked in at 107, and Santa Barbara Harbor with 97. The National Weather Service is forecasting 62 degrees tonight, and temps around 89°F on Sunday.
