The environmental analysis of ERG Operating Company’s plan for 233 new cyclic-steaming wells on its Cat Canyon Oil Field property will be handled by Aspen Environmental Group, a consulting firm with offices across the state and in Arizona. ERG — which already runs more than 300 steaming wells and 200 conventional wells in Santa Barbara County — will foot the $241,714 bill for the study. The company’s project would also reactivate four steam generators and construct a three-mile oil pipeline.
