The county supervisors decided this week they will each appoint a representative to the Santa Barbara’s new Child Welfare Safety Net Task Force. The task force will dive into all aspects of the county’s services and programs aimed at helping kids at risk of becoming dependents of the court, and bring back to the board an analysis of what’s working and what’s not. The task force is expected to cost $25,000 for mileage reimbursement and clerical support.
