Authorities are investigating stolen construction tools found this week in a Santa Maria storage locker.

Sheriff’s detectives this week discovered stolen construction tools in a Santa Maria storage locker while investigating the stolen agricultural property found earlier this month in a different locker in Santa Maria. A new Echo weed eater, a new Craftsman wrench and socket set, and a Husky toolbox with the name “Chris” written on some of the tools are among the items found this week.

As stated in a Sheriff’s Office press release, “owners of approximately half of the stolen property located in a storage locker on December 9 have been located and their items have been returned to them.” Led by Detective John McCarthy, investigation into the previously and recently discovered property remains ongoing, and authorities haven’t released the location of each locker.

McCarthy accepts investigation tips at jhm2501@sbsheriff.org, (805) 934-6512, and anonymously at (805) 681-4171.
