Good-Bye Christmas Tree

Solvang Holds Annual Tree Burn; MarBorg Recycles

From now thru 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 8, residents of the Santa Ynez Valley have the option of bringing their Christmas tree to Mission Santa Inés for the community’s annual Christmas tree burn pile. The incendiary good time lights up the evening through 7 p.m. on Friday with music, food, and lots of fun, said Debbie Sneddon of the city’s Parks and Rec department.

To remove their trees, MarBorg customers can denude them of ornaments, tree stand, tinsel, and lights and place them by the recycle bin on the next recycling pickup day. If the tree is taller than six-foot, the company requests that it be cut to a six-foot length that will fit into the trucks for the free pickup service.
