There Used to Be Ethics

Barry Maher’s story “Meghan, Harry, and Barry” is very funny, but it also emphasizes why we need professional, responsible journalists and news outlets. There used to be ethics. We need to go back to teaching critical thinking in the schools, part of which is how to make decisions about the credibility of news reports.

Thanks for publishing this. If I were still in the classroom, it would become a great example (and very palatable) on just how unreliable the “news” can be when authority is not vetted.
