James Kyriaco is a current Goleta City Councilmember who is running for reelection against a challenger. I recently discovered his wife is on the Board of Trustees for a charity, LEAP. I am sure it is a good charity. However, LEAP held a forum for the candidates. Also, previously, Councilmember Kyriaco voted to provide LEAP with a city grant without disclosing his wife was on the Board of Trustees. I truly hope the forum was fair to all candidates.
