SYV Performing Arts Company “An Invitation to Dance”

The Santa Ynez Valley Performing Arts Company, housed at the Fossemalle Dance Studio is delighted to present its 37^th Season of “An Invitation to Dance” under the direction of Christine Fossemalle, assisted by Sonia Ibarra Corona.

The performances will be held at the High School Little Theater in Santa Ynez, the evenings of Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday June 17^th, 18^th, and 20^th at 7:00 P.M. The latecomers will be seated during the first short pause.

This presentation showcases the elegance and refinement of ballet and lyrical the excitement and fun of jazz and tap and the trendy hip-hop. All of these styles will be set to a tapestry of sounds ranging from pure classical ballet & opera music, to iconic movies & Broadway shows tunes without omitting familiar ones from television series. Something fun and exciting for audience of all ages!

For our dancers, these performances are either the reward of their first year of involvement; for many others it is the compiling effect of years of devotion to their training and craft.

Each dancer has the same desire to express themselves through dance and cherish these upcoming performing moments in the process. We are most proud of their individual accomplishments, the result of their disciplined training, and dedication to their craft

For us, choreographers, Miss Sonia, Miss Hannah, Miss Amanda, Miss Saray and Miss Christine, we appreciate the continued opportunity to share our Passion with our dancers as a beautiful gift we are most grateful for. It was given to us by various mentors and as Artists, we feel compel to pass it on to the next generation, for them to perform and blossom, and for you, our supportive audience, to enjoy.
