Join Victoria Cook, advanced patternmaking instructor at ASU FIDM, as she explores one of the most foundational yet least understood aspects of fashion design: the block.
Victoria will guide you through how garments evolve from foundational blocks using the principles of flat patternmaking. She will also discuss the role of the patternmaker.
Victoria Cook is a professional patternmaker and educator at ASU FIDM based in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to teaching advanced flat pattern making, she has taught digital patternmaking, construction, and online fundamentals of fashion design.
