United Way to Hold Book “Give-Away” January 21

Agencies are invited to stop by and help themselves to the books available. The books are all new and consist of adult fiction and non-fiction titles. Volunteers will be on hand to assist agencies coming to get books.

Officer Anita Chamberlain Promotes 300 DARE Graduates January 19

This will be Officer Chamberlain’s final DARE graduation. On this same date she will retire after 25 years of service to our community. In addition to drug and alcohol education, the DARE curriculum teaches responsibility and making good choices.

Delta IV Heavy Launch Scheduled

While this is the first Delta IV HLV from Vandenberg, it will be the fifth in the program’s history. The first launch occurred in January 2004 from the East Coast. The rocket will carry a national security payload for the NRO.
