Contemplation: Conceptual artwork takes a lot of thought on the front end. Abstraction is often spontaneous, with the artist allowing the process to inform the finished piece. Local artist Dan LeVin’s Lonely Hearts (hand-cut playing cards) show continues! New decks and other playing card art will be on display. Bring your own deck and he’ll cut it for you.

Local artist Caro Clarke will be showing a collection of both pen and ink drawings and giclee prints she created over the past year. Her work explores themes of self-reflection and women within their own spaces. We will be offering a selection of bites from Chef Ryan Whyte-Buck alongside wine and beer specials to enjoy while perusing the art!

Showcasing photography by Audrey Wilson ‘Wild Luxuries.’ Wilson’s passion for photography seamlessly intertwines with her love for the outdoors. Over 20 works never seen before by Conrad Buff. Born in Speicher, Switzerland, Buff moved to Los Angeles in 1906. Buff did a number of large scale murals for banks, schools, and libraries, and with well-known California artist, Edgar Payne, painted a 1000-foot mural for a Chicago hotel. An exhibition of large canvas oil paintings by local artist Kimberly Edman. Edman rejoices in the celebration of life and includes tables and objects set up on a canvas that evoke a timeless space filled with familiar shapes and unexpected placements. folio features an extensive line of letterpress cards and art pieces designed and printed in-house, as well as providing custom graphic design and printing. Complimentary wine, sparkling water, and appetizers.

Taking a year between City College and UCSB, local photographer Kiel Rucker backpacked through Western Europe, bringing along his camera. He discovered photography to be a powerful vehicle for conveying us back into singular, silent and unqualified moments; within these fleeting, curious and beautiful moments with people and in nature, he finds a fascination with life and a love for photography.

This month we will be showing Karen Kasaba’s THE GARDEN IS SINGING: GANNA WALSKA LOTUSLAND. The film portrays an intricate, never-before-seen portrait of the garden and its creators demonstrating Lotusland’s significance as a world-class public botanic garden. Metrov: Celebration of Stars A fine arts exhibition featuring celebrity and VIP portraits by Metrov. Known for his compelling juxtapositions of opposites reflecting an underlying thematic preoccupation with ecocentrism and its inherent correlation to advanced human potential, Metrov’s paintings, sculptures, and films reside in collections worldwide.

An exhibition inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, centered on transience, imperfection, modesty and the appreciation of nature. Pottery by Angela Beguhl, sculpture by Daniel Elmer Landman, paintings by Marlene Struss and Yuliya Lennon.
