The energy industry is the industry that powers every other industry. When the cost of energy goes up, the cost of everything goes up. Whether it’s our food, clothing, shelter, health care, or anything else we need, if the cost of energy increases, the price of those things increases also.
On Thursday, October 24th at the Root-246 in Solvang, The Santa Barbara Technology & Industry Association and the Santa Barbara County Taxpayers Association, in cooperation with several other organizations, will examine the economics of domestic energy.
This year’s Summit will feature local and national experts including economists, forecasters, analysts…and energy industry consultants including:
  • John Davies, CEO, Davies
  • James Taylor, Director, Arthur B. Robinson Center for Climate and Environmental Policy, Heartland Institute
  • Joe Armendariz, Director of Special Projects and Energy, Business, and Strategic Partner Development, Armendariz Partners
  • A representative from the Western States Petroleum Association
  • Dr. Mark Schniepp, Director, California Economic Forecast
  • Mike Stoker, Region-9 Administrator, EPA
