First United Methodist Church
This multigenerational event draws families back year after year – it’s free! At First United Methodist Church, the lawn under the Coast redwood tree is transformed into a humble wooden stable, with a serene Mary, Joseph, and tiny baby Jesus asleep in the manger. Three majestic kings stand by with their gifts to the Holy Child, attentive angels appear nearby, and lowly shepherds tend to their flocks. Live camels, donkey, sheep and goats surround the manger taking in the wonder of it all.
The historic sanctuary will be open, with seasonal music softly playing. A display of creches from around the world adorn the communion rail. Complimentary cider and cookies will be served.
First United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Garden and Anapamu Streets in downtown Santa Barbara, one block from the County courthouse. Free onsite parking with the parking entrance from Garden Street. For information call 805-963-3579 or email office@fumcsb.org.
