February 27th, 2021 (Goleta, CA) – This Saturday, the first annual 42MM Golf Tournament will take place at Glen Annie Golf Course in Goleta, CA. The Best-Ball / Scramble format will include closest to the pin, long drive, and other contests within the tournament.
42MM Is a Veteran golf outreach that gives active military and Veterans alike, the opportunity to take on a new sport, which is proven to help battle the daily rigors a Veteran may be dealing with, such as physical or mental health awareness.
Gary Medell. (US NAVY) of Santa Barbara started 42MM to teach local Veterans’s the game of golf and providing golf equipment for those who can’t afford it but would like to try the new game what seems has grown in popularity the past year, most likely due to COVID-19.
42MM is the only one of its kind, a non competitive golf outreach to simply get veterans out in a safe & positive environment where they can bond and network with one another. Currently serving from San Louis obispo county down to LA And Orange County. Two best friends Gary M. (U.S.Navy) & Manuel Amaya (USMC) who served together in the same unit over seas in Afghanistan, are taking time out of their daily lives to give back to their brothers and sisters and spread the healing golf and other veteran resources can provide.
42MM goal is to provide Free lessons and rounds of golf for those seeking a positive outlet. Building a stronger veteran community and network.
