The Dos Pueblos Instrumental Music Program is proud to present Jazz in Paradise, our 54th Annual Jazz Festival. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Elings Performing Arts Center on the campus of Dos Pueblos High School. Talented jazz bands from schools and colleges all around the central and south coast will participate in a competition, judged by some of the most experienced music educators in Southern California. The festival will culminate with an evening concert that is open to the public which begins at 7pm.
We are excited to announce that Dos Pueblos alum, Karl Hunter of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, is our special guest artist this year. Mr. Hunter will conduct a mid-day Master Clinic for all festival contestants. Later that evening at 7pm, he will be accompanied by Dos Pueblos High School’s Jazz Band and Santa Barbara City College’s Lunch Break Big Band for an amazing concert. Tickets will be sold online and at the door. General Admission $25. Students/Seniors $20
