Master sommelier Bobby Stuckey takes the stage at Godmothers to discuss “Friuli Food and Wine: Frasca Cooking from Northern Italy’s Mountains, Vineyards, and Seaside,” his eye-opening cookbook featuring 80 recipes from James Beard Award–winning chef Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson alongside Bobby’s wine pairings. He’ll be joined in conversation by James Beard Award–winning restaurateur and master sommelier Caroline Styne, who operates Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern, and The Larder with her business partner Suzanne Goin.

The northeastern Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia is an area of immense cultural blending, geographical diversity, and idyllic beauty. This tiny sliver of land is home to one of the most refined food and wine cultures in the world and yet remains off the grid. Following the conversation (which will include a Q&A and book-signing) we’ll adjourn to the patio for a cocktail reception under the stars, where guests will enjoy appetizers—prepared by the Michelin-trained Godsons—and a selection of wines.
