Holly Hungett draws artistic inspiration from being outside in all seasons. She works in watercolor, ink or mixed media and creates small-sized compositions where she captures the essential elements of her location. Less concerned with an accurate rendering, instead she focuses on expressive lines, harmonious colors, and simple shapes. Her reductive method of paring down her natural forms to their essential contours, colors and rhythms results in bold artistic statements based on simple abstractions.
