The downtown Santa Barbara Art District hosts the 2019 ART Santa Barbara festival celebrating our talented artists and growing number of galleries in Santa Barbara.
The festival is designed as a self-guided walking tour of the Art District and is free and open to the public. 15 galleries are participating with live painting, live music, artist talks, and of course, original artwork. The galleries exhibit the works of local and regional artists as well as internationally known, collectible works. More than 100 artists are represented.
Friday night’s kick-off reception at State Gallery is $10 at the door. Located at 1219 State Street, the gallery hosts Santa Barbara’s Abstract Art Collective in October. Mingle with the artists and Art District gallerists while sipping wine from local wine merchants and sampling tasty hors d’oeuvres. Pick up a map/program at the reception, or at any gallery during Saturday’s walking tour.
An after-hours Print Fair is free and open to the public at Glenn Dallas Gallery, 927 State St. Saturday, 6-8pm. On Sunday, an all-ages art workshop is offered at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. 1:30 – 4:30pm. Free.
