Beach Cleanup with the Sea Center

Bring your friends and family and join Sea Center staff in cleaning up the beach!

Get volunteer hours to graduate from high school, or just have fun making Santa Barbara a better place.

We’ll show you how to collect data on the types of trash we find using Clean Swell, an app developed by the Ocean Conservancy. Clean Swell data can be used to inform environmental policy, so when you clean and log your data with us, you’re helping to build solutions that protect the future of our marine environment.

We will have some buckets, bags, and gloves available, but please bring your own cleanup gear if you can.

Meet on the beach near the base of Stearns Wharf, just south of the dolphin fountain.
