Pamela Davis is a career writer whose poems are widely published in more than 80 literary journals. Her first book, Lunette, won the ABZ Poetry Prize, published in May, 2015. A founding member of the Independent Writers of Southern California, her early professional projects included health and medical journalism, editing, video scripts, and ghostwriting. She received her BA in English from California State University at San Francisco, where she lived for six years. Born into the mortuary business, she worked summers in the family mortuary from high school through college. Davis has also worked as a pie shop counter girl, ambulance dispatcher, social worker, nonprofit administrator, and spent a year in Paris as a live-in nanny. She has devoted the last ten years to writing poetry. Davis lives and writes in Santa Barbara. A third-generation Californian, she hikes the flammable hills of the central coast with her husband and two amiable yellow retrievers.

Amy Michelson’s poetry has appeared in Talking River, Sanskrit, The Midwest Quarterly, Gunpowder Press collections and other journals and anthologies. She is currently submitting her new chapbook, Still Perfume, to contests. Amy is a licensed Spiritual Practitioner at Ventura Center for Spiritual Living, and lives in Santa Barbara, California. She leads monthly writing groups in Santa Barbara’s Botanic Garden—think Forest Bathing with a pen!
