Book Party: Steve Oney and Todd S. Purdum

Please join authors Steve Oney and Todd S. Purdum on July 5 at Tecolote Book Shop to celebrate the publications of their new books: Oney’s On Air The Triumph and Tumult of NPR and Purdum’s Desi Arnaz The Man Who Invented Television.

Oney’s book is “a major work of media history … engrossing and entertaining,” declared the New York Times Book Review.

Purdum, noted the Los Angeles Times, has produced “an intimate and often poignant biography” that presents “a nuanced portrait of both Arnaz’s gifts and his tragic shortcomings.”

Oney will quiz Purdum about Desi Arnaz, while Purdum will interview Oney about On Air. Drinks and light refreshments will be served.
